Perfumed and nuanced with scents of strawberry and a bouquet of flowers. An aroma of fennel and fennel pollen along with savory undertones add intrigue to this unique wine. The nose also highlights notes of crushed minerals that captivate the senses. Robust on the entry, the palate clearly indicates the elevation and rocky, well-drained soils where the grapes are grown. Red fruits and citrus flavors predominate with hints of wood spices. A wine that typically requires some time in the bottle to harmonize the structural components, but with patience, the reward is outstanding!

Reviews
96 / Wine Enthusiast
This wine is lively, with aromas of dark plum, strawberry, orange zest, dried herbs, florals and mineral on the nose. The flavors on the palate are dark cherry, black plum, red currant confiture and black tea leaf, intermingled with orange zest, vanilla cream and a dry finish with supple tannins. Hold or drink until 2036. – Tonya Pitts
95 / James Suckling
A brawny, ripe and rocky wine at first sip, with firm tannins, a full body and bold, roasted fruit aromas. The flavors show raspberry, cherry, dark plum, iron and sun-baked earth character. Good wine to age for a silkier texture and more flavor complexity. Drinkable now, but best from 2028. – Jim Gordon
