Joining the Williams Selyem Wait List secures access to each offering and connects you to a community built on continuity and care. Upon joining the Wait List, you will receive an Introductory Offer and a complimentary welcome tasting at our Estate. Acquiring your Introductory Offer guarantees access to future allocations.
The History of the List
The Original Allocation Model
In 1987, Burt Williams and Ed Selyem started a handwritten register of names because demand had exceeded the supply of wines they could make. Today, Williams Selyem wines continue to be produced in limited quantities and are released solely to members of the List.
Rare Wines
Patience is Rewarded
Even today, approximately ninety-five percent of our wines are sold directly to individual List members. The remaining five percent is placed—at full retail price—with select restaurants and fine wine merchants. Because production is finite, there is currently a Wait List for those who wish to become members, with wait times typically ranging from a few months to a year.

We allocate wines to List members based upon longevity, purchase history, referrals, and loyalty. Consistent engagement earns enhanced access to our most sought-after wines. At the same time, we welcome the next generation of Williams Selyem wine enthusiasts. New members receive a special Introductory Offer while they await full access.
Fair Allocations
Order Promptly to Ensure Preferences
List members are invited to place orders twice a year, in the spring and the fall. We do not automatically charge cards or ship wines, and allocations are neither reserved nor guaranteed. Orders are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, so early selections are encouraged.

Membership on the WS List is straightforward: no fees, no auto-shipments, no strings attached. Twice a year, active members receive an allocation offer with preferred release pricing. From there, the longer you stay active, the more your membership gives back, with complimentary tastings at the Estate, access to allocation release events, library wines, community gatherings, and priority access to experiences like our Master classes and La Paulée harvest dinner.
