Red currant and cranberry notes abound in this electric wine from a stalwart site in Boonville. Hints of black cherry mingle with anise and clove to round out the explosive aromatics. Flavors of bergamot, currant, and cranberry permeate and saturate the palate with a refreshing tangerine tanginess. Year after year, Ferrington produces wines of verve while maintaining a sense of Zen. A versatile wine with food pairings and tremendous aging potential.

Reviews
96 / Wine Enthusiast
This wine is opulent, with aromas of dark berries, sandalwood, florals, toasty vanilla and dried herbs on the nose. The flavors on the palate are baked strawberry, raspberry-rhubarb jam and grapefruit zest, gliding into yellow plum, chicory, dried mushroom, black peppercorn and a dry, supple finish. Hold or drink until 2036. Pair with whole stuffed sardines.

Beautifully concentrated yet graceful, this full-flavored wine fills the mouth with gorgeous black fruit and subtle spices. Medium- to full-bodied and moderately tannic, giving a lively texture and a lingering finish. Good depth and richness with superb balance. Drink now or hold. – Jim Gordon
