2022 Calegari Vineyard Pinot Noir

Complex and alluring on the nose, this wine is reminiscent of potpourri spices with highlights of red fruits and citrus peel. Notes of dried rose petals and lavender offer a beautiful lift to this highly aromatic wine. Vibrant and focused in the mouth, with flavors of bright red fruits and citrus peel, and a persistent finish of black tea-like tannins. Calegari is typified by red fruits and a tangy acid profile that allows for a wide array of food pairings. This is quintessential Russian River Valley Pinot Noir at its best.

Reviews

95 / Wine Spectator

This is steeped in fruit, offering blackberry, mulberry and boysenberry pâte de fruit flavors that course along, riding black licorice, warm earth and dark tea notes through the lengthy, well-structured finish. Though not shy with the toast, this is packed with plenty of fruit to soak that up, with energy for the cellar. Best from 2025 through 2037. – J.M.

95 / James Suckling

A big bouquet of roses, cinnamon and violets in this welcoming, generous and charming wine that has appealing complexity. So spicy, floral, concentrated and alive in red fruit and red tea, backed by good, appetizing acidity and moderate tannins. Full-bodied. Drink now or hold. – J.G.
