2016 Coastlands Vineyard Pinot Noir

The 2016 vintage produced another classic wine from the Coastlands Vineyard. The unique terroir is located on the coast in a small region above the town of Occidental. Surrounded by redwood trees, these vines have one of the best views of the Pacific. Power-packed with aromas of tobacco, peat, and tree bark, the wine livens with hints of dark cherry and pomegranate. Due to the cool coastal weather, the berries are typically very small and often produce only a tiny amount of juice. Thus, the skin-to-juice ratios are high, giving this wine intense color and extract. The acid profile keeps the wine lively, fresh, and perfectly balanced.
