Explosive aromatics of black cherry, pomegranate and elderberry immediately emerge from the glass, while subtle touches of mandarin orange and vanilla keep the nose fresh. A surprising note of nectarine further adds to the complex aroma. Fleshy on the palate, there is weight without heaviness, owing to the balanced acidity. In the mouth, minerals and finely textured tannin seem to cling to the palate and finish with a spicy cherry pit impression. Again, patience is required in this glorious effort.
