A classic Rochioli Riverblock and a great example of a Russian River Valley Pinot Noir. Floral aromas of violets and rose combine with blackberry, rhubarb, wild fennel and herbs to create the essence of forest floor which is a hallmark of this vineyard. A very rich texture and mouthfeel is brought through the concentrated flavors of blackberries, dark cherry, cranberry, wild herbs, cola and mineral notes. A subtle toast of oak, cedar and plush tannins reinforce lingering raspberry, strawberry, licorice and dark chocolate flavors with satiny tannins that give this wine an incredibly long finish that is typical from Riverblock. A wine with a long life ahead of it.
