With each year we gain a little more experience with the fruit that makes this blend. Toasty oak and soft tannins balance the berry, Asian spice and game across the palate. Aromas of anise, truffle and rose, intermingled with raspberry and blackberry fruit are complimented by oak-derived mocha and dark chocolate characteristics. Dark berry and raspberry fruit flavors explode on the palate and are gradually replaced on the back end by espresso, lingering dark chocolate and hints of sage. Creamy blackberry and black cherry fill the palate and are complemented by elements of crushed rocks and black tea.
