Medium ruby color; black cherry with hints of wildflowers, spice and sweet smoke aromas; flavors echo the aroma, but only after extensive ariation; rich, moderately long finish. This wine is tightly structured but balanced and will need more age than the ’89 to really show its stuff. Aged 11 months in 75% new French oak.
