1988 Leno Martinelli Vineyard Zinfandel

Impenetrable color, concentrated loganberry/blackberry, anise and oak aromas; flavors follow the nose closely; very rich, almost port like, but less sweet; has good acidity and lots of backbone for extended aging ability; for all its alcohol, it is not hot, finish is long and smooth. Aged for 22 months in French oak.
