The aromas of blackberry, boysenberry, plum, cola and mushrooms come to life in the glass. Rich, fat and broad tannins harmonize the focus of berry and spicy flavors across your palate. An extremely cellar worthy vintage that will age extremely well. 13.8% alcohol
Challenging weather during the 2003 growing season resulted in lighter than normal berry development. However lower yields, coupled with moderate temperatures, allowed for even ripening with good sugar, pH and acidity. Although Mother Nature provided us with a less than bountiful harvest, we are very pleased with the resulting wines. The grapes for this wine were harvested at an average of 25.4 Brix in late October.
