Purchasing our Wines

Already a member? Go to My Account.

We are committed to quality and offer our wines in very limited releases, allocated almost exclusively to members of the WS List. List members have an opportunity to place orders twice a year: once in the spring and once in the fall. Each member is assigned an allocation based on their buying history. Allocations are not reserved or guaranteed. We fill orders on a first-come, first-served basis, so early orders are encouraged.

Please note that it takes a little time for new memberships to be activated. Once you apply, you’ll automatically be put on our Waiting List. The typical wait time ranges from a few months to a year.

We will notify you via email as soon as your account is activated and keep in touch while you wait. Come the next offering period, you’ll receive a newsletter and an order form with the specifics of your allocation, and an email with a link to your allocation. All new members start with the same, relatively modest allocation. However, consistent purchasing patterns over time lead to larger and more varied allocations.

FAQs

The WS List is made up of all active Williams Selyem customers. The list is segmented into different allocation groups based on length of membership and purchasing patterns. Twice a year, WS List members have an opportunity to purchase wines from their allocation. Customers who consistently purchase their complete allocations will see their future allocations increase both in quantity and selection.

We sell 95% of our wines directly to individual WS List members. (The other 5% is sold—at full retail price—to local restaurants and distributors.) There is currently a Waiting List for those who wish to become members. The wait time can vary from a few months up to one year. To get on our Waiting List, click here.

No. Unlike wine clubs, we do not send out automatic shipments of wine. Instead, active list members are invited to purchase from their customized allocation during release periods in the spring and fall. Additionally, credit card information is not stored, and allocations are not reserved or guaranteed. We have a long history of selling out of wines early in release periods, so it is important to order early for the best selection.

Our wines are never commercially available for less than their original release price. We adhere to a one-price commitment for all WS List customers, distributors, retailers, and restaurants alike.

We welcome all members and their guests to our Estate for tasting experiences, by appointment only.

Please let us know if you are interested in joining our member List.  Or, for questions regarding how our List works, please see ‘What is The WS List’ in this section.

List Member FAQ

On opening day of each release period, you will receive an email containing a link to log directly into your allocation. After completing your order, you will receive an order confirmation via email. You may also order via mail or fax by completing the order form which is sent by snail mail. We are not able to take orders over the phone.

Allocations represent the maximum number of bottles of each wine available to you for purchase, while supplies last. Many wines sell out before the end of the release period. Allocations are not reserved and wines are sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

No, you are not obligated to purchase. However, after three consecutive releases without a purchase, we will contact you regarding your membership on the List. By ordering at least one bottle every three releases, you assure that your account will remain active.

For greatest selection, order as early as possible during the release. Wines are sold on a first-come, first-served basis, and once a wine has sold out your allocation for it is no longer available.

Yes! You may log in to your allocation at any time during the four-week offering period, and purchase any remaining quantities. (Please note we may not be able to combine multiple orders into a single shipment.)

Our wines are produced in very small quantities. The smallest-production wines are allocated to members who have been on the WS List for the longest period of time and have established purchasing patterns. You may request wines not included in your allocation via the Wish List feature via your online allocation.

To request quantities beyond your allocation, enter them in the Wish List feature on your online allocation. If we are able to fulfill your request(s), we will notify you by email. A separate charge for the wish-listed wines will be added to your credit card and an updated order receipt will be sent via email.

Quantities and selections in your allocation will change over time in accordance with the purchasing patterns you establish.
