Nick Larson is a Bay Area native, born and raised in Berkeley, California. Growing up, he loved to cook, go fishing, spend time in Echo Lake and play sports. He then went on to college at Sonoma State University. Unsure of which direction he wanted to take, he discovered a study abroad program based around wine in Chile. Nick had an opportunity to see the full picture of how wine was made from raw material to a finished product paired with a delicious meal. At a barbeque hosted by a winery in Chile, they marinated baby back ribs with Sauvignon Blanc and paired the meal with that wine amongst the vineyards where the grapes were grown – a true aha moment. That trip opened his eyes to the world of wine and he then changed directions to wine business administration.
