The deep and brooding nose suggests that there is clearly something exotic and alluring about the Olivet Lane Pinot Noir. Dried rose petals and black cherry co-mingle with notes of allspice and lanolin. Mouth filling and rich at first sip, the texture expands on the palate with concentrated but finely polished tannins, showcasing the pedigree of the site. A wonderful mandarin orange and red raspberry aromatic, coupled with a floral note on the back end, adds a wonderful lift to this compelling offering. This wine should rest for a few years in order for it to reach its full potential.
