Matt is a Sonoma County native with a background in banking management. The wine industry came calling in 2014, and despite having Sonoma roots, his wine industry career began in Napa County at Cabernet Sauvignon producers such as Schweiger Vineyards on Spring Mountain, and Corison in St. Helena. Matt’s love for Pinot Noir was born during a brief stint in sales at Etude in Carneros, and after the pandemic, he decided to follow his palette home to the Russian River Valley. Matt joined Williams Selyem in October 2023.
