His parents are responsible for introducing him to winemaking, and the world of wine in general. One year, after they came back from a trip to Napa Valley, they told him about meeting someone who studied wine in college. That stuck with him and he went off to Texas Tech University and graduated with a Winemaking degree.
Since graduating, he’s completed two harvests in Texas, at Spicewood Vineyards and Stonehouse Vineyards.
About a year ago, he found out that his ancestors, before they came over to America, had a winery in the Champagne region of France. After that revelation, he knew he’d picked the right profession!
Reese enjoys spending time with family and friends in Texas, and he still likes to go hunting and explore the outdoors. Discovering what the world of wine has to offer is another passion of his and he stays current on this topic through both books and tourism.
