Her first William Selyem experience was with a friend and list member sharing a 2012 William Selyem Russian River Pinot Noir. In 2010, Julie decided to “do what you love so that it doesn’t feel like work” and made it happen. Where else to better do this then in the Healdsburg – known for its abundance of world class wineries, the very best in farm-to-table dining and the picture-perfect countryside.
Julie’s hospitality career began in 2011 as a concierge at the Farmhouse Inn in Forestville. While working as a concierge she formed many relationships within the hotel and wine industry. In 2016 she became the Residence Manager/Concierge of a new luxury property located on a beautiful winery property in Dry Creek Valley. After selling her business in 2018 she decided to make a permanent career change and to bring her knowledge and love of all that is wine country to Williams Selyem Winery. Julie became our Estate Concierge in 2019 and was promoted to Assistant Hospitality Manager in 2021.
When not at work Julie can be found hiking the hills around Healdsburg, traveling to see her family or entertaining friends at home. Her favorite meal to share is her “Mimi’s Bolognese” dish she learned to make while visiting Florence Italy in 2011. What wine does she pair with it? Any of my Williams Selyem Pinot Noir’s….because Pinot pairs with everything.
