2004 Vista Verde Vineyard Pinot Noir

Winemaker's Notes

Scents of ripened wild cherries, rose petals, violets, mocha, minerals and exotic spice come through in the nose of this wine.  It shows rich structure and good balance with overall concentration and depth of fruit.  Sweet red fruits, notes of earth and a long, lingering finish complete this wine.  It needs time to mature in the bottle.

Awards and Reviews

2003 Vista Verde Vineyard Pinot Noir
Very ripe and wide open with lots of very well-defined cherries showing in its succulent, sweetly spiced nose, this wine starts out wonderfully in the nose, but its flavors do not show quite the layering and depth of the winery’s very best. That said, it is a tasty and highly commendable Pinot Noir with immediate appeal to spare, and we recommend drinking it up over the next couple of years as its more-structured siblings slowly come fully of age.
