Winemaker's Notes

"The aromas of maraschino cherries, wild berry fruits, sassafras, toffee and rose petal will fill your nose. The round, rich tannins allow this full-bodied wine to illustrate flavors of cherries, blackberry, root beer, fennel and caramel that are common to the 2004 vintage.  Most of the fruit is from the Russian River Valley vineyards, and the natural acidity helps the clean, long finish to end with lingering hints of berry pie."

Although the immediate impact of this wine is obvious in the soft silk and satin mouthfeel and cherry, cola, mocha and spice flavors, it’s not a simple wine.  The palate understands the complexity, and wants more…and more…and more.

Delicious display of Pinot, with its smooth, fleshy texture and complex array of ripe plum, raspberry and black cherry fruit.  It turns silky on the midpalate and finishes with a wonderful array of flavors.  Drink now through 2007.
