Winemaker's Notes
Scents of ripe Bing cherries, strawberry jam, rose petal, mineral and cola come through in the nose. Sweet and concentrated flavors of ripe cherries, earth, spice and sassafras accentuate the ripe, lush tannins on your palate. The combination of red fruits, cola and mineral complements the classic long, persistent finish.

Awards and Reviews
2004 Rochioli Riverblock Vineyard Pinot Noir Dark red with ruby highlights. Complex and enticing on the nose, offering red cherry, rose petal, cola and loam-a real essence of Russian River Valley pinot. Suave and silky-smooth in the mouth, with pretty red fruit, floral and earth flavors. Less complex than the Flax but this boasts a wonderfully accessible texture. Finishes with sweet tannins and noteworthy persistence. Perfect for drinking over the next four or five years. Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar, May/June 2006 - 90 Points
