2004 Bucher Vineyard Pinot Noir

Winemaker's Notes
Aromas of ripe cherries, roses, cola and mocha are expressed in the nose. Concentrated flavors of Maraschino cherries, strawberry, cola, Asian spices and forest floor are complemented by the sweet and creamy grape and oak tannin in the finish. The thin hillside soils from this ranch have added an immense amount of depth and complexity to this wine.

Awards and Reviews
2004 Bucher Vineyard Pinot Noir Deep red. Perfumed nose combines spices, rose petal, mocha, underbrush, minerals and earth. Fat, lush and sweet; creamy but with shape. Dominant flavors of spices, white pepper and forest floor. Attractive, spicy wine, and better than the 2003 version. Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar, May/June 2006, 90 points
2003 Bucher Vineyard Pinot Noir Lots of bright cherry fruit marks this dry, young wine. It’s fairly tannic, with good acidity. If you play with it in the mouth, the flavors really explode, coating the palate with sweet cherry essence complexed with fine oak. This is a big, young, exuberant wine that requires ample decanting.
