Lynn Krausmann

Lynn Krausmann

Winemaker

Lynn earned her degree in Biology from Lawrence University where she crafted her first and only Concord grape wine in microbiology lab. Fascinated by the process of winemaking, Lynn relocated to California and received her Enology degree from the University of California at Davis as she embarked on her winemaking career.

Prior to joining Williams Selyem for the 2003 vintage, Lynn was a winemaker at Clos du Bois Wines where she was responsible for red varietals and played a role in growing the brand for a dozen years. She worked as the Assistant Winemaker for Freemark Abbey and her vintage experiences took her to Robert Mondavi, as well as New Zealand at Cloudy Bay Wines.

Lynn derives great joy from playing a support role and facilitating teamwork.  "We have assembled an extraordinary production team at Williams Selyem and I feel privileged to work among the individuals that comprise this team. Together, I believe we will make incredible wines," Lynn says. Like the rest of the team, Lynn is deeply passionate about Pinot Noir.  "Pinot Noir is all about texture," she explains. "Soft, sensual, seductive texture. It is my favorite excuse to get up and go to work every day. The opportunity to work with fruit as remarkable as this is sublime."

Lynn resides in Sonoma County with her twin sons, Aidan and Connor, and daughter, Kyle.
