Lindsey Otis

Enologist

Lindsey began her educational career as a biological science major at the University of California, Davis. However, after taking introductory courses in viticulture and winemaking in her first quarter, she immediately knew her path had changed. She loved the marriage of science and creativity involved in winemaking.

Before joining Williams Selyem in July 2007, Lindsey worked for Silver Oak in Napa and Bonny Doon Vineyard in Santa Cruz. Lindsey also gained valuable experience during harvests in France, New Zealand and Australia.

Her favorite part of her job is working with passionate people and taking part in crafting such a “sacred product”. Williams Selyem has long been her favorite Pinot producer and she was thrilled to become part of the team. Lindsey describes her passion for Pinot Noir in terms of aromas, flavors and texture that respond to and reflect the environmental, viticultural and enological variables that ultimately tell the unique story of each vintage.
